Polyaspartic elastomers are a novel, slow-reacting, high-performance, and non-yellowing aliphatic coating material that has recently emerged in the polyurea industry. Known as the third generation of polyurea, Feiyang's polyaspartic resin is a solvent-free, transparent liquid modified with aliphatic secondary diamines (terminal amino group polyether) and is also called PAE resin. It can react directly with NCO-containing triisocyanates (either aromatic or aliphatic) or blend with hydroxyl-containing polyester and acrylate resins before reacting with NCO isocyanates to form SPUA polyurethane elastomer coatings.

Product Features

  1. Low viscosity and high solid content: Eco-friendly, non-toxic, and solvent-free, suitable for producing high-solid, low-viscosity coatings.
  2. High reactive activity: Variable gel time from 15 to 120 minutes, allowing for fast curing. Supports flexible application methods (spray or brush), provides controllable film thickness, and can be applied on any surface (curved, inclined, vertical) without sagging, resulting in a smooth, even film.
  3. Unaffected by environmental temperature and humidity: Can dry in extreme cold temperatures and cure on ice surfaces.
  4. Excellent physicochemical properties: High tensile and impact strength, flexibility, wear resistance, moisture and slip resistance, waterproofing, aging resistance, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance.
  5. Good thermal stability: Long-term usability at 120°C with short-term thermal shock resistance up to 350°C.
  6. Excellent workability and adhesion: Suitable for drying on various substrates like plastics, steel, wood, and concrete.
  7. Versatile Compatibility: Used in SPUA elastomer coatings as a chain extender and main resin, compatible with hydroxyl-containing polyester resins, acrylic resins, CAB cellulose acetates, etc.

Applications

  • Anti-corrosion and waterproof materials: Reservoir dams, bridges, railway tracks, tunnels, metal tank anti-corrosion, sewage pool anti-corrosion, building waterproofing, cold storage vapor barriers, power plant cooling towers, aquariums, swimming pool linings.
  • Industrial flooring and sports facilities: Workshop ceilings, walls, floors, pharmaceutical factory GMP workshops, grain warehouses, basketball courts, tennis courts, children's playgrounds.
  • Anti-corrosion insulation materials: For large storage tanks, overhead or underground pipelines, and polyurethane foam layer surface protection.
  • Flexible anti-collision materials: Fender guards, floating mats, bumper boats, fiberglass boats, and water park slides.
  • Wear-resistant lining materials: Mining equipment linings, coal mine chutes, cement mortar processing equipment, vibrating screens, flotation tanks, washing drums, spiral separators, grinding equipment, hydraulic classifiers.
  • Pipeline anti-corrosion materials: Overhead and direct burial pipelines, municipal sewage pipes, oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and various steel chemical storage tanks.
  • Anti-slip flooring materials: Engineering applications, where a slow gel time allows for the incorporation of anti-slip particles (e.g., emery, rubber particles), suitable for parking lots, pedestrian pathways, overpasses, ship decks, helicopter platforms, offshore oil drilling platforms.
